If you are looking for a different way to spend a weekend day, strolling and shopping and drinking and dining in Old Town Spring may be your thing.  Just 25 minutes from downtown Houston up I-45, this location was at one time a little railroad town, and it has the old hotel, saloons, and little old houses to confirm that it has existed for a long time.  Now, most of the quaint little residences are boutiques offering everything from German souvenirs to re-sale clothing, antiques, soaps, and scents…and much much more.  Many establishments offer live music.  Parking is scattered along the streets or in the museum or city parking lot for a modest fee.  Following is a partial list of restaurants, bars, and shops:
